I devised the brand, I was responsible for
the end-to-end business planning and operations
(from strategy, vendor selection, to chosing
the legal jurisdictions, hosting, business and operational procedures, plus the hiring of personnel
etc.)
Key findings: Mobile/iTV (or broadcast TV)
betting or softgaming (small bet) will be key
growth areas for the coming months/ years.
Operators should gear up for this and position
themselves accordingly, and move to the more
hardcore gambling when the Gambling Bill is
passed and comes into force.
Mobile Gambling (SMS/ EMS/ MMS/ WAP/ J2ME)
Devised the business process of online/ mobile
gambling and defined the critical characteristics
for business/ competitive success and advised
whether SMS/ EMS/ MMS/WAP/J2ME/BREW would be
applicable for different markets; if so, how
can they be deployed given the market situation
and availability of handsets at that point in
time.
Wireless enabling platform
Devised a working platform strategy for wirelessly
enabling backend legacy system. Devsied how
to deliver real and percieved value without
being bogged down with developing a platform that
only pleases nerds. Key was to become a viable and sustainable business that keeps the whole
value chain happy.
Wireless Marketing
Devised the best way to augment existing on-line
marketing budget by using wireless and how to
ensure that there was a measurable result (given
no comparison data previously) compared to typical
non-wireless campaign. Selected key players
for the customer specific project, in terms
of delivery, countries targeted etc. and budgetary
considerations.
